Release of Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayagan’ Postponed, Announces Production House

The release of the much-awaited multilingual film Jana Nayagan, starring actor and TVK chief Vijay, has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances, the film’s producers announced on Wednesday.

In a statement, production house KVN Productions said it was fully aware of the anticipation, excitement and emotions surrounding the big-budget film among fans and audiences. However, the company said it had taken the difficult decision to defer the release, which was earlier scheduled for January 9.

“It is with a heavy heart that we share this update with our valued stakeholders and audiences. The release of Jana Nayagan, eagerly awaited on January 9, has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances beyond our control,” the statement said.

The production house did not specify the reasons for the postponement or announce a revised release date. Further details regarding the film’s new release schedule are expected to be shared in due course.

Jana Nayagan marks a significant release for Vijay, who recently took on an active political role as the chief of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), and has generated considerable buzz across the southern film industry and beyond.
