Tanvi Sharma, Vennala Kalagotla Enter Semifinals of Badminton Asia Juniors
India’s rising badminton stars Tanvi Sharma and Vennala Kalagotla continued their stellar performance at the Badminton Asia Juniors Individual Championships 2025, booking their spots in the semifinals on Friday.
Second-seeded Tanvi Sharma showcased her dominance once again in the women’s singles category, defeating Indonesia’s fifth seed Thalita Ramadhani Wiryawan in straight games, 21-19, 21-14. The match, lasting just 35 minutes, highlighted Tanvi’s precision, consistency, and aggressive play, which have defined her campaign so far.
The young Indian shuttler has been in imperious form throughout the tournament, cruising through every round without dropping a single game. Her consistent performances have made her one of the frontrunners for the title.
Meanwhile, Vennala Kalagotla also displayed grit and determination to secure her place in the semifinals. Her success further adds to India’s growing presence in the junior badminton circuit and brings hope for podium finishes as the tournament progresses.
With both Tanvi and Vennala reaching the last four, India’s chances of clinching a title at the continental junior championship remain high. The semifinals are scheduled for Saturday, where the duo will aim to continue their winning momentum and secure spots in the finals.
