SUAS Inaugurates iFactory Lab, Welcomes Batch

Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences Hosts Induction Ceremony 2025 and Inaugurates iFactory Network Lab

Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences (SUAS), Indore, marked a significant step towards future-ready education by hosting its Induction Ceremony 2025 alongside the inauguration of the cutting-edge iFactory Network Lab. The dual event, held on campus, underscored SUAS’s commitment to fostering skill-based learning and promoting digital manufacturing technologies in line with Industry 4.0 standards.

The ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Hon’ble Minister for Urban Development, Housing, and Parliamentary Affairs, Government of Madhya Pradesh, who commended the university’s vision for practical, industry-aligned education.

Other key guests included Debashish Chakravorty, Executive Vice President, Piramal Pharma Solutions; Pradip Kopardekar, Director, Kirloskar Management Services Pvt. Ltd. and Centre for Industry 4.0 Lab, Pune; Dr. Anuradda Ganesh, Chairperson, PRMC and Director & Chief Technical Advisor at Cummins India; Dr. Manish, Registrar, and Prof. (Dr.) Vinith Kumar Nair, Vice Chancellor of SUAS.

In his welcome address, Dr. Nair emphasized the role of applied sciences and emerging technologies in reshaping modern careers. “The iFactory Network Lab is not just a facility—it’s a gateway for our students to engage with real-world industrial challenges using smart technology,” he stated.

The newly inaugurated iFactory Network Lab aims to equip students with hands-on experience in automation, robotics, data analytics, and smart manufacturing systems. As part of SUAS’s broader vision, the lab will serve as a hub for innovation, industry collaboration, and skill enhancement.

The Induction Ceremony welcomed the new batch of students with motivational speeches, presentations on academic excellence, and a commitment to bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry needs.

With the iFactory Network Lab now operational, SUAS continues to strengthen its position as a pioneering institution offering applied education that meets the demands of the digital economy.
