Odisha to Form Technical Committee for Fresh Bhubaneswar Metro Plan

The Odisha government will set up a technical committee of senior officials and experts to prepare a new, comprehensive plan for the proposed Bhubaneswar Metro rail project, Housing and Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra said on Thursday.

The decision was taken during an inter-ministerial meeting chaired by Deputy Chief Minister K V Singh Deo.

Mahapatra said the plan drawn up by the previous BJD government has been scrapped, and the revised proposal will be executed with the Centre’s support.
