Rainfall to Continue in Odisha Till August 18: IMD

Several parts of Odisha will continue to receive rainfall till August 18, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Thursday.

Heavy showers are likely in many areas on Friday due to a low-pressure area over the northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal, extending towards the south Odisha–north Andhra Pradesh coasts.

The system is expected to move west-northwestwards across south Odisha and north coastal Andhra Pradesh within the next 24 hours, IMD Bhubaneswar Director Manorama Mohanty said.
