British, Vested Interests Divided India for Political Gains: Odisha CM Majhi

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday said that the British and certain vested interests partitioned India “for their political ambitions.”

In a statement issued on Partition Horrors Remembrance Day, observed annually on August 14, Majhi paid tribute to the courage and determination of those who endured the atrocities of 1947.

The Chief Minister joined a Tiranga Yatra in Cuttack and urged citizens to actively participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan, emphasising national pride and unity.
