Odisha CM Participates in Mini Marathon for Similipal Tiger Reserve Conservation

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Sunday flagged off a mini-marathon titled “Run for Similipal” to promote the conservation of the Similipal Tiger Reserve in Mayurbhanj district.
During his two-day visit to the district, Majhi actively took part in the event by running a short distance, encouraging citizens to contribute to environmental protection efforts. The event also saw the presence of Forest, Environment, and Climate Change Minister Ganesh Ram Singkhuntia and other officials.
Speaking at the occasion, the Chief Minister highlighted Similipal’s global significance as a biosphere reserve. He emphasized that the marathon aimed to raise awareness about the need for conservation and protection of the rich biodiversity of Similipal.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from locals, environmentalists, and government officials, reinforcing the commitment to safeguarding one of India’s most prominent tiger reserves.
