Mercury Soars in Odisha, Bolangir Records 38.1°C

Odisha is reeling under hot weather conditions as temperatures soared across several parts of the state on Sunday. Bolangir recorded the highest temperature at 38.1 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Apart from Bolangir, five other locations also witnessed intense heat, with the mercury rising above 37 degrees Celsius. Angul recorded 37.9°C, followed by Titlagarh at 37.6°C. Jharsuguda and Bhadrak reported 37.5°C each, while Jajpur recorded 37.2°C.
The sudden rise in temperature has raised concerns among residents, with many opting to stay indoors during peak afternoon hours. The IMD has attributed the temperature surge to dry weather conditions and clear skies.
With summer approaching, meteorologists have warned that temperatures may continue to rise in the coming days. Authorities have advised people to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun.
