Malkangiri to Get Rs 4,000-Crore Cement Factory: Odisha CM Majhi

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced on Saturday the establishment of a mega cement factory in Malkangiri district, aimed at boosting development in the tribal-dominated region. The project, with an investment of Rs 4,000 crore, is expected to create employment opportunities for around 2,000 people.
“A cement factory with an investment of Rs 4,000 crore will be set up in the district. This initiative will generate employment for approximately 2,000 individuals in Malkangiri,” the CM stated.
The announcement came during the Chief Minister’s second day of his visit to Malkangiri. A review meeting was held with district officials, attended by several key figures, including Minister Nityanand Gand, Nabarangpur MP Balabhadra Majhi, Malkangiri MLA Narasinh Madakami, Chitrakonda MLA Mangu Khil, Southern Revenue Officer Rupa Roshan Sahu, Southern Range DIG Nitish Shekhar, District Collector Ashish Elohim Patil, and Forest Officer Pratap Kattapalli.
The cement factory is expected to boost industrial growth in the district while addressing unemployment concerns in the region.
