Over 30 people, including women and children, sustained injuries when an iron gate at a folk theatre venue collapsed in Raisunguda, Salepur area of Cuttack district on Saturday night.

The incident occurred as people were passing through the structure, which suddenly gave way, police officials said.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene, and the injured were promptly admitted to the Salepur hospital for treatment.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the gate’s collapse, and steps are being taken to ensure the safety of such venues in the future.
