WAVES Summit Offers Big Opportunity for Media and Entertainment Creators, Says Union Minister Murugan

Union Minister L Murugan has announced that the upcoming World Audiovisual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) will be a significant opportunity for creators in the media and entertainment sectors. Speaking on Monday, the Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs emphasized the summit’s potential to bring together key players from various industries.

Scheduled to take place in Mumbai from May 1 to 4, the summit will feature programs like WAVES Bazaar and the CEO Round Table. Murugan highlighted that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, WAVES aims to create a platform for creators in the growing creator economy.

“This summit is an important event for print media, satellite TV channels, digital media, OTT platforms, and filmmakers. It will provide a unique opportunity for media and entertainment professionals to come together, collaborate, and celebrate creativity over four days,” Murugan said.
