Vaibhav Suryavanshi Appointed Bihar Vice-Captain for Ranji Trophy
Bihar Cricket Association has named 14-year-old batting prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi as the vice-captain of the Bihar team for the first two matches of the upcoming Ranji Trophy season. Sakibul Gani will lead the side as captain.
Bihar will begin their Plate League campaign against Arunachal Pradesh at the Moin-ul-Haq Stadium on October 15. The squad announcement was made by the Bihar Cricket Association late on Sunday.
The team will be eager to bounce back after a disappointing previous season, where Bihar failed to secure a single win and were relegated to the Plate League.
Suryavanshi, touted as a promising young talent, is expected to bring energy and fresh perspective to the side, as Bihar aims to start the new season on a positive note and improve its standing in the domestic circuit.
The Ranji Trophy season will be closely watched, with young leaders like Suryavanshi gaining valuable experience in India’s premier domestic cricket tournament.
