Joshna Chinappa Clinches 11th PSA Title at Japan Open

Indian squash star Joshna Chinappa won her 11th PSA Tour title on Monday, defeating Egypt’s Haya Ali in the final of the Japan Open in Yokohama.

Chinappa, a former world No. 10, overcame the third-seeded Egyptian in four games, 11-5, 11-9, 6-11, 11-8, in a 38-minute clash at the USD 15,000 Challenger event.

Earlier, the 117th-ranked Indian secured her place in the final by beating fourth seed Rana Ismail of Egypt 11-7, 11-1, 11-5 in the semifinals.

This victory adds another feather to Chinappa’s illustrious career and reinforces her status as one of India’s premier squash players, showcasing her resilience and skill on the international stage.

With this win, Chinappa continues to inspire young athletes in India, maintaining her presence as a top contender in global squash tournaments.
