Two arrested for firing over refund

Two Arrested for Firing at Travel Agency Over Refund Delay in Odisha’s Jajpur
Odisha Police on Friday arrested two men with criminal records for allegedly opening fire at a travel agency office in Jajpur following a dispute over the delay in refunding cancelled railway tickets.
The accused were identified as Michael Santosh (23) of Purbakot village and Santosh Pradhan (24) of Mundamal village, both residents of Jajpur district.
According to police sources, the duo had booked railway tickets through the agency, but when their travel was cancelled, they demanded an immediate refund. Following an argument with the agency staff, the two allegedly fired shots at the office premises on Thursday evening before fleeing the spot.
Acting on a tip-off, police tracked and arrested them later that night from their relatives’ homes outside the district.
Both accused have been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act. Police said further investigation is underway to determine if others were involved in the incident.
