Fresh from their historic World Cup triumph, the victorious Indian women’s cricket team led by captain Harmanpreet Kaur landed in the national capital on Tuesday evening. The team will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence on Wednesday to celebrate the nation’s first-ever ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup title.

The Indian side clinched the coveted trophy after a commanding 52-run victory over South Africa in the final held at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium on Sunday.
