Suryakumar Yadav Dedicates India’s Win Over Pakistan to Armed Forces, Pahalgam Victims
India skipper Suryakumar Yadav on Sunday dedicated the team’s seven-wicket victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup to the Indian armed forces and expressed solidarity with the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack.
Speaking after India’s second consecutive win in the tournament, Suryakumar noted the significance of the match as the first India-Pakistan face-off on a cricket field since the May terror attack and the subsequent ‘Operation Sindoor’ targeting terror infrastructure across the border.
“I think it’s a perfect occasion, and taking the time out, we stand by with the victims of the families of Pahalgam terror attack and we express our solidarity,” Suryakumar told the broadcaster after the match.
The win reinforced India’s strong start in the Asia Cup and underscored the team’s message of unity and respect for the country’s armed forces and citizens affected by terrorism.
