SRK Calls Dharmendra a ‘Father Figure’ as He Mourns Veteran Actor’s Death
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan paid an emotional tribute to legendary actor Dharmendra, who passed away on Monday at the age of 89 after a prolonged illness. Calling him “nothing short of a father figure,” SRK said the veteran’s death was an irreplaceable loss to Indian cinema and fans across the world.
Dharmendra breathed his last at his residence in Juhu. Shah Rukh Khan was among those who attended the actor’s final rites at the Pawan Hans crematorium, joining family members, colleagues and admirers in bidding farewell to the much-loved star.
In a heartfelt message posted on X, SRK wrote, “Rest in Peace Dharam ji. You were nothing short of a father figure to me… thank you for showering me with blessings and love the way you did. An inconsolable and irreplaceable loss to not just his family, but to cinema and film lovers world over.”
The passing of Dharmendra, celebrated for his iconic roles and endearing screen presence, marks the end of an era in Hindi cinema.
