The Indian women’s kabaddi team continued its dominance on the global stage, lifting its second consecutive World Cup title with a hard-fought 35–28 victory over Chinese Taipei on Monday. The final, held in Dhaka, showcased India’s tactical superiority, defensive strength and all-round teamwork.
The tournament featured 11 participating nations, with India emerging as the undisputed champions after a series of commanding performances throughout the competition.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the team, praising the players for their determination and exceptional talent, and highlighting their achievement as a matter of great national pride.
