Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has announced the appointment of Gaurav Banerjee as its new Managing Director and CEO. Banerjee, a former Disney executive, will officially take on his new role effective on or before August 26, subject to regulatory approvals.

Gaurav Banerjee will succeed NP Singh, who has been with the company for 25 years. Singh will transition to the position of Non-Executive Chairman after Banerjee assumes his new role.
