Shekhar Suman Launches Film Academy SSFA

Veteran actor and presenter Shekhar Suman has launched the Shekhar Suman Film Academy (SSFA), an initiative aimed at nurturing aspiring actors and storytellers.

According to a press release, the academy will begin with an intensive three-month acting programme, personally designed and conducted by Suman. The course will also feature masterclasses by industry professionals, including actors, casting directors and filmmakers, offering students hands-on exposure to the craft.

Sharing his vision, Suman described the academy as a deeply personal project. “For me, this academy is not just an institution. It is a very personal way of giving back to the craft that has given me everything. Acting has taught me discipline, imagination, resilience, and the importance of truth in performance,” he said.

The SSFA aims to provide structured training and mentorship, blending practical learning with industry insights to help participants build a strong foundation in acting and filmmaking.

With this initiative, Suman joins a growing list of industry veterans contributing to talent development and skill-building in the Indian entertainment sector.
