Sekhon IAF Marathon Celebrates Valour and Fitness

First-Ever Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon 2025 Concludes with Grand Celebration of Fitness and Valour
The inaugural Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon 2025 (SIM-25) concluded on Sunday with resounding success, uniting thousands across the nation in a vibrant celebration of fitness, courage, and patriotism.
Held in Delhi, the marathon witnessed participation from over 12,000 runners, including men, women, and children. Simultaneously, more than 45,000 participants from 46 Air Force Stations across the country joined the event in 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km categories, reflecting the collective enthusiasm and inclusivity of the Indian Air Force community.
The event was graced by Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan and Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, alongside senior IAF officers and distinguished guests. Demonstrating inspiring fitness and dedication, Air Chief Marshal Singh himself ran the 21 km category, motivating air warriors and citizens alike.
The day began with an energetic Zumba warm-up, followed by stirring performances by the Indian Air Force Band and a precision display by the Air Warrior Drill Team. A thrilling skydiving demonstration added to the spectacle, perfectly capturing the discipline and dynamism of the IAF.
Adding a touch of star power, Netflix joined the event with actors Huma Qureshi, Shefali Shah, Archana Puran Singh, and Sunil Grover in attendance. The platform also unveiled the teaser of Operation Safed Sagar, an upcoming series celebrating the Indian Air Force’s bravery during the Kargil War.
The marathon paid a heartfelt tribute to Param Vir Chakra awardee Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, whose extraordinary courage continues to inspire generations.
The Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon 2025 stood as a powerful symbol of unity, resilience, and national pride — echoing the IAF’s motto of “Touch the Sky with Glory.”
