Rohit Sharma Tops ICC ODI Rankings

Rohit Sharma becomes world’s No. 1 ODI batter for first time
India’s veteran opener and former captain Rohit Sharma has reached a historic career milestone, becoming the world’s No. 1 ranked ODI batter for the first time in his illustrious career, according to the latest ICC Men’s ODI Rankings released on Wednesday.
The 38-year-old jumped two spots to the top of the charts following his unbeaten 121-run knock in the third and final ODI against Australia in Sydney, where he guided India to a commanding nine-wicket victory.
Rohit’s scintillating innings featured 13 boundaries and three towering sixes, marking his 33rd ODI century and reaffirming his reputation as one of the most dominant openers in world cricket.
Batting alongside Virat Kohli (74 not out), Rohit displayed vintage class and authority, effortlessly chasing down the target and sealing the series in style for India.
This latest achievement adds yet another feather to Rohit’s decorated career, which already includes multiple ICC tournament triumphs and record-breaking performances across formats.
The Mumbai-born star has been in sublime form in recent months, combining consistency with aggressive intent — a blend that has now earned him the top ranking spot for the first time since his international debut in 2007.
