Anil Ambani and Diehl Defence CEOs Discuss Strengthening Strategic Partnership

Reliance Group founder Anil D Ambani and Helmut Rauch, CEO of German arms manufacturer Diehl Defence, held discussions to bolster their strategic partnership, according to a joint statement issued on Tuesday. The collaboration, initially established in 2019, focuses on guided munitions, particularly the terminally guided munition segment.

Diehl Defence emphasized its commitment to the Indian market and the ‘Make in India’ initiative through this partnership. The primary objective of their current cooperation is to facilitate the urgent supply of the ‘System Vulcano 155mm Precision Guided Munition’ to the Indian armed forces, addressing critical defense needs.

This renewed focus highlights the growing defense collaboration between India and international partners, aiming to enhance India’s military capabilities through advanced technology transfer and manufacturing. The partnership is seen as a significant step toward self-reliance in defense production under the Indian government’s strategic initiatives.
