Ranji Trophy: Delhi Holds Off Tamil Nadu for Draw in Group D

Delhi managed to deny Tamil Nadu an outright victory in their Ranji Trophy Group D match, earning a crucial point after a determined effort from opener Sanat Sangwan.

Starting their second innings at 264 for 8, Delhi was unable to add much to their total, losing their final two wickets for just two runs. This left centurion Yash Dhull, who scored 105 not out in the first innings, stranded at the other end as Delhi finished their first innings at 266.

In their follow-on, Delhi faced an early setback with the dismissal of Dhull, but Sangwan stepped up with a resilient performance, scoring 83 runs off 231 balls. His innings included 12 boundaries, showcasing his determination to guide Delhi to safety. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, Sangwan’s gritty knock ensured that Delhi held on for a draw, denying Tamil Nadu the outright win they sought.

This hard-fought result reflects Delhi’s fighting spirit as they continue their campaign in the Ranji Trophy.
