Rani Mukerji Sees First-Award as Beginning

Rani Mukerji Aims for More National Awards After First Win
Mumbai, Sep 27: Bollywood actor Rani Mukerji will see her recent National Film Award as the beginning of a new chapter rather than a culmination of her career, as she expressed her desire to win many more in the future.
The 46-year-old star, who has been a part of the film industry since 1996, shared her thoughts at the India Today Conclave on Friday. Asked whether the honour marked the peak of her journey, Mukerji responded with optimism.
“I would like to see it as an eternity. It will keep going. I wouldn’t like to say full stop because there’s lots more to do, many National Awards to win. Maybe this is just the start,” she said.
The actor’s recent win will mark her first National Film Award in her nearly three-decade-long career, a recognition that she said has both elated and motivated her to continue pushing her artistic boundaries.
