Punjab Man Arrested for False Death Threat

Punjab Man Held for Falsely Reporting Death Threat to Actor Tiger Shroff

A 35-year-old man from Punjab has been arrested for allegedly providing false information about a “death threat” to Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff, Mumbai police officials said on Tuesday.

The accused, identified as Manish Kumar Sujinder Singh, reportedly called the police control room in Mumbai on Monday, claiming that a group of individuals had been given a contract (“supari”) worth ₹2 lakh to kill the 35-year-old actor. Singh also mentioned that the assailants were allegedly associated with a security agency.

Upon receiving the call, Khar police launched an immediate investigation but quickly determined the information to be false. Singh was arrested for spreading misinformation, and authorities are investigating the motive behind his call.

The police are also exploring whether Singh had any personal grievances or other reasons for making the false claim. Tiger Shroff’s team has not yet commented on the incident. The authorities have warned against making such false reports, as they can lead to legal consequences and disrupt law enforcement efforts.
