PM Warns Pakistan, Unveils Security Mission

PM Modi Warns Pakistan, Announces ‘Sudarshan Chakra’ Security Mission
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday issued a stern warning to Pakistan, declaring that India will not distinguish between terrorists and those sheltering them. He said the armed forces will decide on punitive action in the event of any future misadventure by the neighbouring country.
Addressing the nation from the Red Fort on India’s 79th Independence Day, the Prime Minister announced the launch of Mission Sudarshan Chakra to “expand, strengthen, and modernise” the country’s national security shield.
In a key push for defence self-reliance, Modi also stressed the need to develop an indigenous jet engine for India’s fighter aircraft programme, calling it essential for advancing the nation’s defence manufacturing capabilities.
