PM Modi Promotes Mindful Eating, Fights Obesity

PM Modi Urges Mindful Eating on World Liver Day, Calls for Action Against Obesity
On the occasion of World Liver Day, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi called upon citizens to adopt mindful eating habits and take small but meaningful steps towards a healthier lifestyle. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of dietary changes, such as reducing oil consumption, as a way to improve overall health and combat rising obesity rates.
The Prime Minister’s message came in response to a post by Union Minister Shri JP Nadda, who marked the day with a call for greater awareness about liver health and obesity prevention.
Shri Modi wrote:
“Commendable effort to mark #WorldLiverDay with a call for mindful eating and healthier living. Small steps like reducing oil intake can make a big difference. Together, let’s build a fitter, healthier India by raising awareness about obesity. #StopObesity”
The Prime Minister’s remarks underline the government’s ongoing focus on promoting preventive healthcare and encouraging lifestyle changes to tackle non-communicable diseases. World Liver Day, observed every year on April 19, serves as a reminder to take care of one of the body’s most vital organs by making informed and health-conscious choices.
