PM Modi Launches Varanasi, MP Projects

PM Modi to Inaugurate Projects Worth Over ₹3,880 Crore in Varanasi, Visit Madhya Pradesh on April 11
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a significant two-state visit on April 11, with key stops in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, and Isagarh, Madhya Pradesh. The visit will include the launch and inauguration of a host of infrastructure, education, tourism, and energy projects aimed at boosting regional development and public welfare.
Major Push for Varanasi Development
At around 11 AM in Varanasi, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate multiple projects collectively worth over ₹3,880 crore. A special focus will be on road infrastructure, electricity, education, tourism, and urban development.
Among the key projects are:
- Road bridge between Varanasi Ring Road and Sarnath
- Flyovers at Bhikharipur and Manduadih crossings
- NH-31 underpass road tunnel at Varanasi International Airport
In the energy sector, PM Modi will inaugurate high-capacity substations and lay the foundation for new transmission infrastructure across Jaunpur, Chandauli, Ghazipur, and Varanasi, amounting to more than ₹1,800 crore.
Educational projects include the inauguration of a Government Polytechnic College at Pindra, rural libraries, Anganwadi centres, and the renovation of 77 primary schools under the Smart City Mission.
PM Modi will also launch various cultural and tourism projects, including redevelopment of ghats, MSME Unity Mall, drinking water schemes, and community halls in 40 gram panchayats. Sports infrastructure will get a boost with the foundation stone being laid for a synthetic hockey turf and a mini stadium.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will present Geographical Indication (GI) certificates for local crafts and delicacies such as tabla, thandai, painting, and tiranga barfi. He will also hand over Ayushman Vay Vandana cards to senior citizens and transfer ₹105 crore as a bonus to milk suppliers linked to Banas Dairy.
Spiritual Visit to Madhya Pradesh
In the afternoon, the Prime Minister will visit Madhya Pradesh, where he will perform darshan and pooja at the revered Guru Ji Maharaj Temple in Isagarh’s Anandpur Dham at around 3:15 PM. He will also address a public gathering there at 4:15 PM.
Anandpur Dham, a spiritual and philanthropic hub, spans 315 hectares and includes a gaushala with over 500 cows, a charitable hospital, and schools run by the Shri Anandpur Trust.
The visit is seen as part of PM Modi’s broader agenda to merge development with cultural and spiritual preservation, and to reach out directly to citizens in both rural and urban regions
