PM extends greetings on Uttarayan and Magh Bihu

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended greetings to people across the country on the occasion of Uttarayan and Magh Bihu, festivals that mark the harvest season and are celebrated with great enthusiasm in different parts of India.

In separate posts on X, the Prime Minister conveyed his wishes, saying, “Wishing everyone a happy Uttarayan!” and “Happy Magh Bihu to everyone!”

Uttarayan is celebrated mainly in western India to mark the Sun’s northward journey, while Magh Bihu, also known as Bhogali Bihu, signifies the end of the harvesting season in Assam and is associated with feasting and community celebrations.
