PM Modi greets nation on Gita Jayanti

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday extended his greetings to citizens across India on the sacred occasion of Gita Jayanti, marking the advent of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita.

In his message posted on X, the Prime Minister highlighted the scripture’s timeless guidance on the fulfillment of duty, noting its unique and enduring role in Indian family, social, and spiritual life. “Its divine verses will continue to inspire every generation towards selfless action,” he said.

Sharing his wishes in Hindi, PM Modi wrote: “देशभर के मेरे परिवारजनों को श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता के अवतरण से जुड़े पावन दिवस ‘गीता जयंती’ की ढेर सारी शुभकामनाएं। कर्तव्य-पालन के अनमोल संदेशों से सुशोभित इस दिव्य ग्रंथ का भारतीय पारिवारिक, सामाजिक और आध्यात्मिक जीवन में अत्यंत विशिष्ट स्थान रहा है। इसके दिव्य श्लोक हर पीढ़ी को निष्काम कर्म के लिए प्रेरित करते रहेंगे। जय श्री कृष्ण!”
