Majhi launches ₹1,330 crore projects in Keonjhar
Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday launched development projects worth ₹1,330 crore in his home district of Keonjhar, aimed at boosting infrastructure and public services.
The Chief Minister inaugurated 24 completed projects valued at ₹251 crore and laid foundation stones for 62 new projects worth ₹705 crore. He also announced an additional ₹375 crore package for 101 upcoming initiatives to accelerate the district’s growth.
As part of the push towards improved public transport, Majhi flagged off 25 advanced electric buses and inaugurated an ‘Ama Bus’ depot built at a cost of ₹17 crore.
Highlighting the affordability of the new service, the Chief Minister said fares for the e-buses would start from just ₹5, making public transport more accessible to residents.
The initiatives are expected to enhance connectivity, generate employment, and support overall development in the mineral-rich district of Keonjhar.
