PM Modi Applauds India’s Progress in Tuberculosis Eradication
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has praised India’s significant strides in the fight against tuberculosis (TB), acknowledging the country’s achievements in reducing TB incidence. His remarks came in response to Union Health Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda’s recent post, which highlighted India’s remarkable progress as recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO).
According to the WHO, India has successfully reduced tuberculosis cases by 17.7% between 2015 and 2023. The Prime Minister took to X to express his appreciation, stating, “Commendable progress! The decline in TB incidence is an outcome of India’s dedicated and innovative efforts. Through a collective spirit, we will keep working towards a TB-free India.”
