Odisha’s Patapur Police Station Recognized Among Best in India

Berhampur: Patapur police station in Ganjam district, Odisha, has earned a prestigious distinction as one of the top three police stations in India for 2024, according to the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). This recognition highlights the station’s exemplary performance in maintaining law and order, efficient service delivery, and citizen-centric policing.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will present the award to the inspector-in-charge of Patapur police station during the upcoming convention of Director Generals of Police (DGPs). The event will take place in Bhubaneswar from November 29 to December 1, 2024.

The announcement was conveyed in a letter from Samir S. Ilme, Joint Director and Conference Secretary of the Intelligence Bureau, MHA, to Odisha’s Director General of Police, Y.B. Khurania. The letter praised Patapur police station for its outstanding work, which has set a benchmark for police stations nationwide.

This achievement underscores Odisha’s commitment to fostering an efficient and responsive policing system, further enhancing public trust in law enforcement.
