Odia Cinema’s Best Honored at State Film Awards

Governor Raghubar Das Presents Odisha State Film Awards for 2020, 2021, and 2022

Bhubaneswar, November 17, 2024: In a grand ceremony held in the capital city, Governor Raghubar Das presented the 32nd, 33rd, and 34th Odisha State Film Awards, honoring the best of Odia cinema for the years 2020, 2021, and 2022. The event was graced by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida and Odia Language, Literature & Culture Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, among other dignitaries.

The prestigious Mohan Sundar Deb Goswami Award for Lifetime Achievement was bestowed upon eminent director Anant Mohapatra (2020), Odia cinema stalwart Srinivas Mahapatra (2021), and veteran comedian Jairam Samal (2022) for their outstanding contributions to the industry.

  • Best Film: Sahid Raghu Sardar
  • Best Actor: Debasish Patra (Sahid Raghu Sardar), Amlan Das (Romeo Rajya)
  • Best Actress: Kabya Kiran Shukla (Sahid Raghu Sardar)
  • Best Director: Rakesh Samal (Romeo Rajya)

2021 Awards Highlights:

  • Best Film: Pratikshya (Anupam Patnaik), Dalchini (Atish Kumar Rout)
  • Best Actor: Ankit Kumar (Bhoka), Dipanwita Dasmohapatra (Pratikshya)
  • Best Actress: Suryamayee Mohapatra (Dalchini)
  • Best Director: Suresh Patnaik (Trushna)

2022 Awards Highlights:

  • Best Film: Daman (Dipendra Samal)
  • Best Actor: Babusan Mohanty (Daman)
  • Best Actress: Lopamudra Mishra (Boura Hata Baksha)
  • Best Director: Sudhanshu Mohan Sahu (Mayabi)
