Odisha’s Sundargarh, Bonai Reels Under Intense Cold Wave

Sundargarh district, including Bonai, is experiencing a severe cold wave with temperatures plummeting and snowfall-like conditions being reported in several areas. Normal life has been disrupted due to the intense chill and frost accumulation across the region.

Recently, a low-pressure system turned depression brought temporary relief with cloud cover and a slight rise in temperatures. However, as the cold wave persists, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts rainfall to return from December 24, lasting for two days. Post-Christmas, starting December 26, another cold wave is expected to sweep through most parts of Odisha, including Sundargarh and Bonai.

Residents are urged to take precautions as temperatures continue to drop, with dense fog and icy winds making conditions challenging.
