Odisha Secures Rs 1 Lakh Crore Investment Commitments at Kolkata Roadshow

The Odisha government has garnered investment commitments and proposals worth around Rs 1 lakh crore during an investors’ roadshow in Kolkata, officials said.

Over 500 industrialists and business leaders engaged with officials from Odisha as part of the state’s outreach ahead of the upcoming ‘Enterprise Odisha’ event, scheduled for January 27-28 in Rourkela.

The Odisha Investors’ Meet in Kolkata featured participation from representatives across multiple sectors. The state government conducted approximately 130 high-level meetings and sector-specific interactions with companies in manufacturing, metals, chemicals, textiles, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, and allied industries, according to an official release.

Officials described the roadshow as a significant step in attracting investments to the state, underscoring Odisha’s growing prominence as a hub for industrial and economic development in Eastern India.
