Cotton Factory Gutted in Fire in Odisha’s Balasore

A cotton processing factory in Haldipada, Balasore district, was destroyed in a fire on Saturday, officials said.

The blaze, which broke out in the afternoon, consumed cotton stocks worth several lakhs of rupees along with factory machinery. Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries or fatalities, authorities confirmed.

Officials are investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the extent of the loss, while local fire services acted promptly to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby areas.
