Odisha Launches Toll-Free Number for Subhadra Yojana
The Odisha government has launched a toll-free number to assist beneficiaries of the Subhadra Yojana, a key welfare program aimed at supporting women aged 21 to 60. The initiative, unveiled on Friday, is designed to streamline access to the scheme and provide support to eligible applicants.
Under the Subhadra Yojana, beneficiary women will receive financial assistance of Rs 10,000 per annum for five years. The program is part of the state’s broader effort to enhance welfare measures and provide financial support to women in need.
The government has also expanded the eligibility criteria to include Anganwadi workers, helpers, ASHA workers, and community resource persons. These groups can now apply for the scheme, broadening its reach and impact.
To qualify for the Subhadra Yojana, applicants must be covered under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) or the State Food Security Scheme (SFSS). Women from families without an NFSA or SFSS card may still apply if their annual family income does not exceed Rs 2.50 lakh.
“The introduction of the toll-free number will significantly improve accessibility and support for beneficiaries of the Subhadra Yojana,” said a government spokesperson. “This initiative will help ensure that eligible women can easily apply for and benefit from the scheme.”
The toll-free number aims to provide information, answer queries, and assist with the application process for the Subhadra Yojana. By facilitating easier access to the program, the government hopes to enhance its effectiveness and support more women across the state.
The Subhadra Yojana reflects Odisha’s commitment to advancing women’s welfare and addressing financial needs within vulnerable communities. The introduction of the toll-free number is expected to make a positive impact by providing crucial support and improving the overall efficiency of the scheme.
