Odisha Cricket Association Launches Pro T20 League

OCA Announces Inaugural Odisha Pro T20 League to Launch in September
The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) on Sunday officially announced the launch of the Odisha Pro T20 League (OPTL), a franchise-based Twenty20 cricket tournament set to debut in September 2025.
According to OCA officials, the league will feature six competitive teams and aims to become a premier platform for nurturing young and emerging cricketing talent in the state and beyond.
Designed to offer high-intensity competition and wide exposure, the OPTL will give players an opportunity to showcase their skills alongside top-tier domestic cricketers, potentially paving their way into national-level recognition.
“We are confident this league will become a major force in Indian domestic cricket,” said OCA secretary Sanjay Behera in a press release. “The Odisha Pro T20 League is not just a tournament, but a vision to uplift cricketing standards and inspire the next generation of athletes in Odisha.”
The announcement has been met with excitement from cricket fans and aspiring players, as the league is expected to bring professional-level cricket closer to home and boost sports infrastructure and opportunities in the region.
