Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi Vows Befitting Reply to Pahalgam Terror Attack

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday condemned the Pahalgam terror attack and assured that the country would give a befitting reply to the perpetrators of the barbaric act. Majhi made the remarks while addressing the state-level Panchayati Raj Day function in Puri.

Expressing his deep sorrow over the tragic incident that occurred in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, Majhi paid homage to the victims of the attack, which has left the nation grieving. He described the terror attack as a cowardly act and one of the most barbaric in recent times.

On behalf of the 4.5 crore people of Odisha, Majhi conveyed his condolences to the families of the victims. He said, “I, on behalf of the 4.5 crore people of Odisha, convey my heartfelt condolences to the victim families. The country will give a befitting reply to this terror activity under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

Majhi’s comments come amid growing calls for a robust response to terrorism following the Pahalgam attack, which targeted civilians and security forces. The Chief Minister reiterated his confidence in India’s leadership and expressed full support for the government’s efforts to tackle terrorism.

The Pahalgam attack on April 22 claimed multiple lives and sparked nationwide outrage. The country’s leaders, including Prime Minister Modi, have promised to take stringent actions to ensure the safety and security of Indian citizens and uphold national integrity.

Majhi’s statement adds to the chorus of political leaders across the country who have condemned the attack and vowed to take decisive action against those responsible.
