Bhubaneswar, Oct 4 : Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday hailed the launch of the PM Skill Enhancement, Training, and Upgradation (PM SETU) scheme by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing it as a landmark initiative to empower students with future-ready skills and strengthen the nation’s skill ecosystem.

Calling the ₹60,000 crore scheme transformative, Majhi said PM SETU will modernize and upgrade Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across the country, aligning them with advanced trades, global industry standards, and modern infrastructure. He stressed that the initiative will not only enhance youth employability but also foster entrepreneurship and support India’s long-term development goals.

Taking to social media platform X, the Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister, stating: “The scheme ensures that the youth of Odisha and India are ready to meet evolving global demands and excel on international platforms.”
