Naveen Pulligilla, Musa Sherif Clinch Historic RC3 Victory in Kenyan NRC
In a groundbreaking achievement, Hyderabad’s Naveen Pulligilla and Kasargod’s Musa Sherif have made history by becoming the first all-Indian team to compete in the World Rally Championship (WRC) and secure victory in the RC3 category of the Kenyan National Rally Championship (NRC).
The duo participated in the Safari Rally Kenya 2025, a prestigious event that is part of the WRC calendar. Representing Africa Eco Motorsport, they drove a Ford Fiesta Rally3 machine, showcasing exceptional skill and determination throughout the race.
Naveen and Musa were leading the WRC3 class with just two stages remaining and were on the verge of a dream debut. However, their campaign took an unfortunate turn when they encountered mechanical issues with the lower arm, forcing them to withdraw from the WRC3 contention.
Despite the setback, the Indian pair’s performance in the Kenyan NRC RC3 category remained stellar, earning them a well-deserved first-place finish. Their success marks a significant milestone for Indian motorsport, inspiring future rally enthusiasts from the country.
With this remarkable achievement, Naveen and Musa have firmly established themselves on the global rally map, and fans eagerly await their next challenge on the WRC circuit.
