The Mumbai police are set to recreate the crime scene at Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s Bandra residence, where he was repeatedly stabbed by an intruder, officials confirmed on Sunday.

The attack occurred when a 30-year-old Bangladeshi man, identified as Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, broke into Khan’s home. The accused was arrested on Sunday morning from Thane, a neighboring city, after a swift manhunt.

Following his arrest, a local court remanded Fakir in police custody for five days to facilitate further investigation. Authorities are likely to reconstruct the crime scene as part of their inquiry to understand the sequence of events and gather more evidence.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the city, drawing attention to security concerns around high-profile individuals in Mumbai. Saif Ali Khan, fortunately, survived the attack and is currently receiving medical treatment.
