Shooting for “Mirzapur: The Film” has officially begun in Rajasthan, actor Ali Fazal confirmed on Tuesday by sharing a behind-the-scenes video from the set. Fazal, who reprises his popular role of Guddu Bhaiya, gave fans a glimpse of the film’s production and expressed gratitude to the people of Jaisalmer and Jodhpur for their warm hospitality.
Taking to social media, the actor announced the Rajasthan schedule and thanked local residents and hotels for making the cast and crew feel at home during the shoot. “Mirzapur The Film. Shooting now. Rajasthan schedule. Thank you Jaisalmer and Jodhpur for the immense love and hospitality that knows no bounds… Khammaghani,” Fazal wrote, adding that the “whole paltan” — a reference to the return of several fan-favourite characters — is back.
The film adaptation marks a major expansion of the hugely successful crime drama franchise, which first debuted as a web series and went on to become one of the most-watched Indian shows on streaming platforms. Known for its gritty storytelling, sharp dialogue and memorable characters, Mirzapur has built a loyal fan base over multiple seasons.
