Shantanu Maheshwari, Avneet Kaur’s ‘Love in Vietnam’ Set for Korea Release on December 8

The Hindi film Love in Vietnam, starring Shantanu Maheshwari—best known for his role in Gangubai Kathiawadi—and actress Avneet Kaur of Tiku Weds Sheru fame, is all set to release in theatres across Korea on December 8.

Directed by Rahhat Shah Kazmi, the film is notable for being the first-ever cinematic collaboration between India and Vietnam in the Hindi language. The project aims to strengthen cultural ties between the nations while presenting a fresh cross-border narrative.

Described as a heart-wrenching love story, Love in Vietnam draws inspiration from Madonna in a Fur Coat, the internationally acclaimed novel by Turkish author Sabahattin Ali. According to a press release, the film adapts the emotional depth of the novel to a contemporary setting, promising an intense and visually rich romantic journey.

With its international release, the makers hope the film will appeal to Korean audiences who have shown growing interest in Indian stories and global cinema.
