In light of rising tensions between India and Pakistan following Operation Sindoor, Karnataka Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara announced on Thursday the deployment of specially trained forces to safeguard critical infrastructure across the state.

These personnel are highly trained, including in commando techniques, and have been deployed to protect major installations like the Raichur Thermal Power Station, Kaiga Nuclear Power Plant, and Krishna Raja Sagara (KRS) Dam,” Parameshwara said.
The move comes as part of a broader effort to enhance internal security amid heightened national alert following Pakistan’s attempted attacks on Indian military targets and cross-border shell
