India Foils Pakistan Missile, Drone Attack

Title: India Deploys Missile Defences to Foil Pakistan’s Attempted Strikes on 15 Cities
In a decisive defensive operation, India successfully thwarted an attempted large-scale missile and drone attack by Pakistan on Wednesday night, targeting 15 Indian cities, official sources confirmed on Friday.
To counter the threat, India activated a multi-layered air defence shield comprising Barak-8 missiles, S-400 Triumph air defence systems, Akash surface-to-air missile batteries, and indigenously developed anti-drone technologies.
According to government sources, Pakistani military assets attempted to strike key Indian urban and military centers including Awantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bathinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Phalodi, Uttarlai, and Bhuj.
“Every single missile and drone was intercepted or neutralised before reaching its target,” a senior defence official said, emphasizing the precision and readiness of India’s air defence network.
The attempted strikes came in the wake of India’s recent offensive under Operation Sindoor, which targeted terror infrastructure across the border. In response, Pakistan launched a coordinated assault that was swiftly repelled.
The Indian Air Force, along with the Army Air Defence and other national security agencies, remains on high alert across the western front. Surveillance systems are continuously monitoring potential threats.
Experts say the success of the interception demonstrates the effectiveness of India’s integrated air defence strategy, particularly the synergy between imported systems like the S-400 and domestically developed technologies.
No civilian or military casualties have been reported, and normalcy is being maintained in all the targeted areas.
