Five Artists Win Ravi Jain Awards

Five Emerging Artists Honoured at 34th Ravi Jain Memorial Exhibition
Five young artists were recognised for their outstanding work at the 34th Ravi Jain Memorial Foundation (RJMF) Exhibition, organised by Dhoomimal Gallery, one of India’s oldest art institutions.
The winners — Santanu Dey, Shuvam Sen, Naina Somani, Soumitra Das, and Ayesha Sultana Pramanik — were selected from a pool of 60 finalists shortlisted from over 500 entries received from across the country.
Each awardee received a cash prize of ₹1 lakh, along with mentorship and career development opportunities, aimed at nurturing the next generation of contemporary Indian artists.
In a notable departure from tradition, the jury decided to honour five artists instead of the usual four, citing the exceptional calibre and diversity of this year’s submissions.
The Ravi Jain Memorial Exhibition, instituted in memory of the late gallerist Ravi Jain, continues to serve as a platform for discovering and promoting promising talent in the Indian art scene.
