DyCM Inaugurates 913 New Anganwadi Centre Buildings in Odisha

Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Tuesday inaugurated 913 newly constructed buildings of Anganwadi centres across the state through virtual mode.

Speaking on the occasion, DyCM Parida said the government is committed to strengthening early childhood care and development facilities by providing proper infrastructure.

“All Anganwadi centres currently operating from temporary accommodations will be provided with dedicated buildings. Where government land is not available, private land will be purchased for construction,” she assured.

The state government has taken up the initiative to ensure safe and permanent structures for Anganwadi centres, which play a crucial role in nutrition, health, and pre-school education for children, especially in rural areas.

Officials said the move will significantly benefit lakhs of children and women who depend on Anganwadi services for health and nutritional support.
